Where we live

Our Bitsy Kitchen - the sink is behind me and that's it.
Uncle Dave chillin on the couch by his office.
Our super cool flat screen.

The Apartment

We live on the corner of Pine and Powell Streets. The cable car is literally a few steps from our front door. (Which was so cute for the first day until we realized that we would hear the cable car bells all day and all night from our apartment.... then it got old!)

We have house cleaning that comes once a week, on Mondays. It is weird to be here when they come in, so I try to be out of the house monday mornings early and Dave might try to find a way to take a little break when they are here going forward so they can clean.
I usually get up around 7 ish, sign on to my computer to check on work stuff on the east coast... answer some stuff for them and then head down to the office. It makes the time difference a little easier.

The Neighborhood

I walk down one block to catch the bus that takes me right to work. It's about a 15 minute ride if the busses aren't slow or late or anything! It's wonderful, I don't have to make any transfers or anything... I just hop on a block and a half away and then I get off half a block away from the office.

We are about 4 or 5 blocks from Market street and Union Square and we are centrally located near all kinds of bus lines and all 3 cable car lines. The BART which is the subway system is about 7 blocks away, although we haven't had to use it yet.

Every shopping store you can imagine is within a 5 - 10 block radius, including a massive Virgin Mega Store, which we have already been to twice since we left all our CD's at home. (Dave needed to feed his addiction:) It's a dangerous thing to have a Marshall's, Macy's, Old Navy, and shoe stores all on the way to and from work.

There is a Trader Joes about 12 blocks from the apartment and we like to walk there for AWESOME groceries including $2 buck chuck... and yes it's really 2 bucks here.

Annie's Office

My AWESOME office is located right across from a Safeway, (grocery store) a Panera Bread, Starbucks, and above a Walgreens drug store. There are plenty of options for lunch in addition to the ones listed above... I tend to stick to the grocery store though so I can save money somewhere!!!!! It's actually in a really cool building and once we get our IT stuff working, it will be SWEET! Pac bell or At & T whomever they are, have let us down thus far in regards to their internet connections... but we are hoping to fix it so we can all be happy!!
My co-workers have already shown me all the good places for lunch (which is GREAT cause there are some really not so good places they showed me to avoid)

Dave's Office

Dave gets up in the morning, turns on his laptop, and by the time he's done brushing his teeth, his work day has started:) He usually gets online around 7ish so he can get in lots of hours and try to end before 5 our time so we can go out at night. You can get him on AIM amishdam.
